Your profile
Profile holds who you are and how the app behaves for you.
Personal details
Your first and last name, username, job title, and profile photo. Names are optional and clearing one is allowed.
Your email address cannot be changed, by anybody. It is what you sign in with, what an invite was addressed to, and what every notification goes to. Changing it in place looks like editing a field and is really moving an account to a different person, with no trail saying so. Sending an unchanged email back is ignored rather than refused, so saving the form does not fail.
Time zone
Your time zone decides two different things:
- How dates and times are shown to you
- When your scheduled reports are sent
That second one is why it is a stored setting rather than something read from your browser. The server sends the reports, and a server cannot see a browser.
If you have never chosen one, Sekee adopts the zone your browser is in the first time you sign in, so the field shows the zone it will actually use.
:::note Recently changed
The field used to offer Automatic, which stored nothing — and nothing meant
UTC to the part of Sekee that sends reports. So the page could name
Europe/Zagreb while the daily report went out at 16:00 UTC, two hours late for
most of Europe. There is one stored zone now. If your instance still shows an
"Automatic" option, it predates the change, and picking a real zone is worth
doing.

Password and two-factor
Change your password from Profile → Security. You need your current one — and a code from your authenticator, if two-factor authentication is on — and the new one has to satisfy every rule the meter under the field lists — the same rules that apply when you sign up or accept an invitation.
Changing your password signs out every other device. You stay signed in on the one you changed it from. Sign out everywhere else, on the same Security tab, and turning on two-factor authentication do the same. A reset through Forgot password? on the sign-in screen signs out everywhere, the device you reset it on included.
All four also end your AI connectors. A connector made before any of them stops working on its next call. Create a new one afterwards under Settings → AI connector, give it to your assistant in place of the old one, and revoke the old one there — an ended connector still counts towards the ten each person may hold.
:::note Recently changed The Security tab used to ask you to type the new password twice. It now asks once, with a Show link beside the label to check what you typed.
This page used to say that changing your password signed nobody out. It has signed out every other device since September 2026, and it ends AI connectors too. :::
Two-factor authentication
Profile → Security is also where you turn on a second factor, generate backup codes, and sign out your other devices. It has a page of its own: Two-factor authentication.
It is on every plan, including while a subscription is lapsed.
:::note Recently changed Two-factor authentication used to be listed as a paid feature and was not implemented. It now exists, and it is not gated by plan — a lapsed subscription must not switch off a security control. :::
Behaviour
Settings → Behaviour holds small interface preferences — such as whether the sidebar collapses while you are editing. They are per-user and per-device-independent: set once, and they follow your account.
Keyboard shortcuts
Settings → Shortcuts lists every shortcut, grouped by where it works, with the text-editor keys (Writing) last. The rules that apply to all of them — they are ignored while you type, and the chords give you a few seconds between keys — are behind More beside the page's first sentence. Worth reading once if you spend your day in the step editor.
